Austin Davis Returns And Finds A New Home In Kansas

Austin Davis came back to compete at Kansas and picked up where he left off. Austin took the pole and kept his ride up front for most of the evening. Tim Dubel had another strong run and was the only driver able to muscle the lead away from Austin and keep him in check.

Mark Oliver will be waiting at Goodyear headquarters as once again a tire failure took him out of contention early. John Cordeiro, Chris Marini, and Tim Riecker staged a nice battle for 3rd during the early going. About midway all 3 found the groove to run with the big boys up front. John Cordeiro was able to stake his claim to the top spot just before the 1/2 way mark. John's moment in the limelight was short lived after he and Tim Dubel made contact in turn 1 and John lost his engine.

Once again Tim Dubel and Austin monopolized the point. Tim Riecker and Chris Marini were able to keep pace but couldn't mount a serious challenge. Tim and Charlotte Dubel's fate was sealed late in the race when they both were discoed. Leaving Austin in command. Marini tried to make his move on Davis but faded off the pace. Austin Davis took his 4th victory of the year followed by Chris Marini, Tim Riecker, Tim Dubel and Charlotte Dubel.
